New deep house mix, a bit darker this time with louder beats and vocal with french sound from from Claude Monnet's back to fundamental project. Some Kerri Chandler & Sydenham sound for the soulful touch then I got more housey with some big Ibiza sound (Yass, sandy riveira). After a jackin track (Duck fat) I got deeper with tiger stripes and the killer tune from Ame - Setsa. At last I cooled things down with some smooth deep instrumental house, great tracks from Rythm of Elements and Tyrone Francis teamed with Abicah Soul. A little technical problem after blak, sorry.

Un nouveau set en ligne, plus dark et deep cette fois ci. J'ai commencé lentement avec le remix de Rocco de Each and everyday, très beau mais assez triste. Le So far away, partie du projet de Claude Monnet B2Fundamentals est aussi dans la même veine. Je suis toujours resté sur les vocaux féminins assez dark avec un morceau qui tape un peu plus, superbe remix de Charles Webster des Fish go deep. Ensuite j'ai quand même joué un peu souful avec un énoooorme Kerri Chandler, fidèle à lui même, des basses rondes, généreuses et chaudes. Un vocal qui va bien et ça roule !
Après on s'énerve un peu avec Jérome Sydenham, un bon remix de David Crops, et j'ai embrayé sur un son plus Ibiza main room avec entre autres du Yass, ponctué par un Jovonn fantastique, quel vocal...
Ensuite une fois n'est pas coutume, en transition un track jackin' house (j'en joue rarement) et je suis parti plus deep, avec Tiger Stripes et surtout le morceau énorme de Ame, Setsa.
Enfin j'ai terminé sur une session deep et instrumentale très cool. J'adore le mood du morceau de Rhythm of Element, et le Tyrone Francis - Blak. J'étais tellement dedans que j'ai raté l'enchainement suivant ! Bon l'essentiel c'est la playlist n'est il pas ? ;)
A noter que ce mix devait être fait depuis 1 mois, faute de temps pour l'enregistrer. Commentaires bienvenus.

Le tout mixé parfois avec de la chance, parfois un peu moins bien...

Le Dj Odeon, peu entendu, c'est dommage...
Key to Life, on croirait entendre un MAW des 90's, un vrai bon morceau à ranger dans ses classiques.

Jacko presents Tony Loreto - The Spirit EP

Gros coup de coeur pour moi en ce moment pour cet EP (encore en promo) qui navigue entre électro, house, soulful et qui touche à l'essence même de ce qui nous fait danser.

Anthem est un titre aux influences multiples. Brillante relecture de l'italodisco, de la house made in Chicago, c'est la bombe absolue, un titre qui porte bien son nom, Anthem.

Il commence par une ligne mélodique acide, une basse bien lourde électro, puis des nappes oldschool ouvrent la voie pour des percus bien grasses et bien streets. Puis la ligne mélodique arrive, claire et puissante. This is Chicago.

Doo est lui plus classique, dans le style jackin'house, une guitare basse bien ronde et bien funky nous invite à nous remuer. Les petites touches : piano, triangle, orgues, et surtout le petit gimmick vocal très funk font le reste. Très funky et moins universel qu'Anthem, ce morceau vaut quand même le détour. Préférence pour le gimmick mix, le dub tape à peine plus.

On commence doucement avc deux titres soulful que j'ai beaucoup aimé, la voix de Kem est fantastique ! On continue avec des morceaux deep mais funky, grosse basse. Au milieu, retour aux sonorité House US avec Amy Winehouse, cette track est énorme !
J'ai ensuite calé le Julien Jabre, the stook, sorti sur SSOH, merci encore à clubxtrem et au label de claude monnet pour cette promo.

J'ai ensuite accéléré le rythme pour rentrer dans de la house plutot pêchue. J'aime beaucoup le petit vocal de "Gonzalo"..

Nouveau set plutot original cette fois ci, j'ai décidé de coller les morceaux qui sont à la base (samples) de grands titres clubs ou house. Ca donne un ensemble de choses plutot vieilles mais extremement dansantes, et surtout on se dit "ah mais oui je connais ça, c'est quoi".

Bref, ca va du disco, au funk, en passant par du rock un peu wave.
